Hello. After working as a therapist for over 30 years, the time has come for me to propose hydrogen as a new health practice to my long-time loyal clients. In Japan, awareness of hydrogen’s potential health benefits is very high, so many people have experience trying hydrogen in various forms. However, I hear that many are uncertain about which hydrogen product to choose. Therefore, based on my own experiences and real-life case examples of hydrogen use around me, I would like to share fundamental information to help you maintain your health.
There are various ways to incorporate hydrogen, including hydrogen inhalation, hydrogen water, hydrogen baths, and hydrogen supplements. It is important to find the optimal method among these that suits one’s individual lifestyle and health status. I personally started trying hydrogen water and hydrogen baths ten years ago, but my second adoption of hydrogen began with hydrogen inhalation. The immediate changes I felt after inhalation included increased lightness in my mind and body, and improvement in the quality of my sleep.
One example among those around me who chose hydrogen inhalation is an individual who had experienced a mild cerebral infarction. This person started inhalation at 15 minutes and developed headaches as the duration was gradually increased. It was understood that these headaches were a temporary response related to the improvement of blood flow and would decrease over time. Another person with asthma reported a feeling of discomfort, like drowning, during inhalation, but over two months, their body gradually adapted, and they became able to inhale several times a day. This person later tried a hydrogen bath and reported that they did not feel the sensation of drowning at all when inhaling the steam.
These case examples suggest that, although hydrogen has no known adverse reactions, individual responses vary, and the body seems to adapt and adjust over time. You can obtain a lot of information from books and papers about hydrogen, so if you are interested, please do refer to them.
