Hydrogen: A Gateway to Health 053 How Should We Understand Changes in Hair?

Hello.
In the previous column, I shared observations of hair-related changes reported by individuals who have continued incorporating hydrogen into their routines. This time, I would like to take a closer look at the possible background behind such changes.

Hair follows a natural cycle known as the hair growth cycle, which consists of the anagen (growth phase), catagen (transition phase), and telogen (resting phase). Our hair continuously renews itself through this cycle. Under normal conditions, the growth phase can last several years. However, factors such as stress, lack of sleep, and imbalances in nutrition may shorten this cycle or increase the number of hairs in the resting phase.

When hair follicles are still present, there may be a possibility for them to return to the growth phase if the surrounding environment becomes more balanced. On the other hand, if the follicles themselves are no longer active, noticeable changes may be more limited. What matters is not simply whether hair follicles exist, but the condition they are in.

As for the relationship with hydrogen, there is no medical conclusion that guarantees hair growth. However, hydrogen is known for its antioxidant properties, and research has suggested a potential role in reducing oxidative stress. The scalp, like the rest of the skin, is influenced by circulation, inflammation, and everyday lifestyle factors.

In practice, some individuals who incorporate hydrogen inhalation or bathing into their daily lives report that their sleep feels more stable or that their body warms more easily. It is possible that such overall changes in physical condition may, in turn, influence the scalp environment.

Hair is often considered more than just an aesthetic concern; it can also reflect the condition of the body as a whole. Rather than focusing only on localized care, supporting the overall balance of the body may play a role in gradual changes over time.

There are many ways to incorporate hydrogen, including inhalation, bathing, and ongoing care at home. Choosing an approach that fits your lifestyle may help make it easier to continue without strain. If you would like to learn more, please feel free to reach out.

I hope that hydrogen can remain a gentle and supportive presence in your everyday life.
