Hello. Last time, I touched upon the “Dodgers’ adoption of hydrogen,” and this time, I would like to discuss why hydrogen is being incorporated by athletes.
In recent years, we have increasingly heard news of top athletes and professional sports teams introducing hydrogen inhalation. In competitive sports requiring endurance and explosiveness, such as baseball, marathon running, swimming, and cycling, the potential for hydrogen to help maintain performance and regulate physical condition is gaining attention.
A frequently cited characteristic of hydrogen is its potential role in suppressing oxidative stress. During intense training or competition, a large amount of active oxygen species can be generated in the body, which may damage muscles and blood vessels. This oxidative stress can lead to delayed recovery and accumulated fatigue, but hydrogen is thought to have the potential to neutralize some of it.
Hydrogen is also gaining attention in terms of conditioning. Athletes engage in continuous practice and competition, requiring them to recover from fatigue in a short period. Incorporating hydrogen inhalation or drinking hydrogen water is easy as part of post-practice recovery, and it is said to support the consistent maintenance of physical condition.
Furthermore, hydrogen offers diverse intake methods, including inhalation, drinking, and bathing, allowing for integration according to one’s lifestyle. Hydrogen inhalation, which can be done in a short amount of time, is an efficient care method for athletes with limited time.
Of course, hydrogen is recommended not only for professional athletes but also for those who enjoy regular exercise and sports. At my salon, more than two years after introducing hydrogen, we are seeing an increase in customers with exercise habits utilizing it after their workouts.
Hydrogen is not a magic solution that brings about instant change, but through daily accumulation, it may become a factor that positively influences physical performance and recovery ability. I believe these are the reasons why athletes recognize its benefits and continue to choose it.
