Hello everyone.
In Episode 55 of my newspaper column, I shared a conversation with a client who uses CPAP therapy and asked about incorporating hydrogen inhalation into their daily routine.
In Blog 55-1, we discussed the importance of consulting a physician before introducing any new wellness practice while using a medical device.
Today, I’d like to explain how I distinguish between medical care and wellness when working with clients.

Medical Care and Wellness Serve Different Purposes
Medical care focuses on diagnosing, treating, and managing medical conditions.
Wellness focuses on supporting healthy daily habits and helping people maintain their overall well-being.
These two approaches are not in competition—they complement one another.
For anyone using medical equipment or receiving treatment, I believe medical care should always come first, while wellness can be considered as an additional part of a healthy lifestyle.

My Role at the Salon
For more than 30 years, I have worked with clients in New York while helping them build sustainable wellness habits.
At our salon, we do not provide medical treatment.
Instead, I introduce hydrogen inhalation, hydrogen baths, hydrogen water, and hydrogen mist as wellness options that may fit naturally into a healthy lifestyle.
Whenever someone has a medical condition or uses a medical device such as CPAP, I always encourage them to consult their physician before making changes to their routine.

Every Person Is Different
Each client has different goals.
Some want to support their overall wellness.
Some are interested in relaxation.
Others want to learn about home hydrogen systems for daily use.
Rather than offering the same recommendation to everyone, I believe the best approach is to listen carefully and help each person choose a routine that fits their own lifestyle.

Summary (55-2)
Inspired by Episode 55 of my newspaper column, today we explored the difference between medical care and everyday wellness.
Medical treatment belongs in the hands of healthcare professionals, while healthy daily habits can support overall well-being.
My goal is to help clients understand hydrogen wellness options—including hydrogen inhalation, hydrogen baths, hydrogen water, hydrogen mist, and home hydrogen systems—so they can make informed choices together with their healthcare providers.
In Blog 55-3, I’ll share why this topic is personally meaningful to me and how my family’s experience has influenced the way I guide clients.
This article is intended for educational purposes only and is not medical advice. Anyone using medical devices or receiving medical care should consult their healthcare professional before beginning a new wellness routine.
