Hello, it’s Sonata 🌿✨
Since September began, the heat has started to ease up little by little.
Of course, some afternoons are still hot, but it’s no longer like August when I would step outside and immediately think,
“It’s already too hot!”
😊
Last week, I went to a hot spring nearby ♨️
The weather happened to be cloudy that day.
There was no strong sunlight, but it wasn’t cold either.
For me, it was just about perfect weather for enjoying an open-air bath.

♨️ Soak, Step Out, Then Soak Again
I got into the open-air bath and thought,
“Ahhh, this feels good.”
After soaking for a while, though, I gradually started to feel warm.
So I stepped out and sat outside to cool off for a bit.
Because it was cloudy, the air felt just cool enough.
And I immediately thought,
“This feels great!”
😊
Once I cooled down a little, I went back into the bath.
Then I stepped out again and rested outside.
Soak.
Step out.
Cool off.
Then soak again.
I repeated this a few times.
In the middle of summer, sometimes you get out of a hot spring only to find that it’s still extremely hot outside.
Then it’s more like,
“I’m not cooling off at all! 😂”
But this time, stepping outside actually felt refreshing.
Just that small difference in the weather completely changed how much I could enjoy the open-air bath.

☁️ Doing Nothing Feels Pretty Good
While I was sitting outside cooling off,
I wasn’t really doing anything.
I wasn’t checking my phone.
I wasn’t playing a game 🎮
I wasn’t watching a movie or anime.
I wasn’t even listening to music.
I was just…
staring at the cloudy sky and doing absolutely nothing.
Normally, if I have even a few free minutes, I tend to reach for my phone.
But at a hot spring, I can somehow think,
“Maybe I don’t need to do anything right now.”
I actually like that feeling.
It can be surprisingly difficult to create truly empty time when I’m at home.
At home, I quickly start thinking,
“Maybe I’ll watch a video.”
“Maybe I’ll play a game for a little while.”
“Maybe I should eat something.”
😂
At a hot spring, there really isn’t much to do except soak.
And maybe that’s exactly what makes it so nice.
🛁 A Hot Spring Is a Hot Spring. At Home, I Have My Hydrogen Bath
After coming home from a hot spring, I always think,
“Hot springs really are wonderful ♨️”
If I could, I’d go much more often(笑).
But of course, I can’t go to a hot spring every day.
So at home, I have my usual hydrogen bath 🛁🌿
For me,
a hot spring and a hydrogen bath are two different things.
I don’t think of one as better than the other.
A hot spring trip has its own scenery, atmosphere, and the special feeling of an open-air bath.
My hydrogen bath at home has the comfort of thinking,
“I’m home.”
😊
I like both.
And that’s enough for me.
And every night, I sleep while inhaling hydrogen 🌿
Whether I spent the day at a hot spring,
watched a movie,
or played games,
I end the day the same way, heading to bed with my hydrogen inhalation.
Hydrogen water in the morning, a hydrogen bath at home, and hydrogen inhalation every night.
For me, none of these feels like a special event anymore.
They’ve simply become part of everyday life.

🍂 Maybe This Is My Favorite Season for Open-Air Baths
I like open-air baths in summer.
And of course, open-air baths on cold winter days are amazing too ♨️
But this time,
the sky was cloudy,
it wasn’t too hot,
it wasn’t too cold,
and when I stepped out of the bath, the air felt just cool enough.
I found myself thinking,
“Maybe this is actually my favorite kind of weather for an open-air bath.”
😊
September can be unpredictable, but sometimes cloudy weather creates the perfect kind of day for something like this.
I’d like to go again when it gets a little cooler.
By then, I might step out of the bath and immediately say,
“Oh, now it’s a little cold!”
😂
And after the hot spring…
of course I’ll want something delicious to eat 🍴✨
For me, that’s part of the hot spring experience too(笑).
I hope everyone enjoys a relaxing September weekend 😊♨️🌿
