🌸Episode 44: Humidity During the Rainy Season and Life with Air Conditioning — A Hydrogen Bath to Recharge on a Chilly Night

Hello, it’s Sonata. 🌿

We’ve entered the rainy season, and the rainy days just keep coming ☔

At this time of year, there are days when the air itself feels heavy.

The humidity is high, and the muggy heat seems to cling to your body.

If you go outside, you get wet from the rain, and when you come home, the room feels somehow stuffy.

I seem to recall that rainy seasons used to have cooler days, but in recent years, it feels like the temperatures have been rising year after year.

When it rains, it’s hard to open the windows.

As a result, moisture and heat get trapped inside the room.

Even though I’m just keeping the windows closed, the room temperature rises before I know it.

Because of the humidity, it feels even hotter than the actual temperature.

When this happens, there are more and more days when I simply can’t get by without the air conditioner.

The air conditioner is truly a blessing.

It’s essential for making the indoors comfortable amid the humidity and heat of the rainy season.

However, if I stay in an air-conditioned room for too long, I sometimes feel like my body has gotten too cold.

It’s muggy during the day, so I turn on the AC.

Since I keep the windows closed because of the rain, the room gets even hotter.

But before I know it, my feet and shoulders feel cold.

It’s hot, yet I feel cold.

I often experience this strange sensation during the rainy season.

In my case, I don’t hesitate to use the air conditioner.

That’s because, in this humidity and heat, forcing myself to endure it puts a strain on my body.

Especially considering recent temperatures, I don’t think of air conditioning as a luxury—it’s a necessity for daily life.

However, I do take a few precautions when using it.

I make sure not to set it too cold.

I avoid sitting directly in the airflow.

I make sure not to let my feet or stomach get too cold.

And at the end of the day, I take a long, relaxing bath.

This “bath time” is very important to me 🛁

During the rainy season, there are days when I just want to take a quick shower.

The humidity makes my body feel sticky, so I understand the urge to just rinse off and be done with it.

But on days when I’ve spent the whole day in an air-conditioned room, I make a point of soaking in the tub.

That’s when I look forward to my hydrogen bath 🌿

When I take a hydrogen bath, I don’t think about anything too complicated.

It rained again today.

The humidity was intense.

The air conditioner really saved me.

But I feel like my body got a little chilled.

As I reflect on the day, I soak slowly in the warm water.

I’m not saying that taking a hydrogen bath changes anything immediately.

But, from my own experience, it’s a time when the bath gently wraps around my body, which feels chilled from the air conditioning.

I relax my shoulders amidst the steam.

I submerge myself in the water all the way to my toes.

I slow down my breathing.

Just doing that makes my body—which had been a little tense from the muggy heat of the day and the cold air conditioning—feel at ease.

The rainy season is a time when our bodies feel a bit overwhelmed.

It’s muggy and hot outside.

Inside, the air conditioning keeps things cool.

But if you stay inside too long, you start to feel a chill.

When the rain keeps falling, your mood can feel heavy too.

It feels as though your body is constantly swinging back and forth between feeling hot and feeling cold.

That’s exactly why my evening bath time is a moment when I can restore balance to my day.

As I soak in my hydrogen bath,

“I had a good day today,”

“I’m a little tired,”

“I’ll try not to push myself too hard tomorrow.”

It’s also a time to become aware of how I’m feeling.

The busier my day is, the more I tend to forget to listen to my body.

Hot, cold, heavy, sluggish.

I end up putting those little sensations on the back burner.

But when I take a bath, I feel like I can reconnect with myself just a little bit.

For me, a hydrogen bath isn’t something special—it’s a small moment of self-care in my daily routine.

On rainy days when it’s hard to go outside,

on days when the air conditioning makes my body feel chilled,

or on days when the humidity weighs on my mood,

spending some quiet time in my home bath helps me feel a little more at ease.

After my bath, I sometimes take my time sipping hydrogen-infused water.

Instead of gulping down something cold all at once, I drink it little by little, paying attention to how my body feels.

I take a breather during the quiet time after my bath, hydrating myself as I go.

This moment also feels so comforting on rainy season nights 🌙

Of course, using the air conditioner to beat the heat is very important.

There’s no need to force yourself to endure the heat.

That said, when you feel like you’ve gotten too cold or your body feels stiff, try taking a little extra care with your evening bath time.

For me, a hydrogen bath is one of the easiest self-care practices to incorporate into my life during the rainy season.

It’s less about “healing my body”

and more about taking time to “pamper myself today.”

During this season of continuous rain, both our bodies and minds tend to get tired more easily than we realize.

Humidity, room temperature, air conditioning, atmospheric pressure.

With all these changes piling up, there are days when we just can’t seem to settle down.

It’s precisely at times like these that I want to avoid pushing myself too hard and instead cherish the small adjustments I can make in my daily life.

Use the air conditioner wisely.

If you feel chilled, take a leisurely, warming bath.

Regulate your breathing while soaking in a hydrogen bath.

After your bath, take a moment to relax with some hydrogen-infused water.

Just doing these things can make rainy season nights feel a little gentler ☔🛁

The days ahead will only get more humid and sweltering.

I hope you’ll all find ways to use your air conditioners wisely without overcooling your bodies, and make the most of your evening relaxation time.

This rainy season, I plan to incorporate hydrogen baths and hydrogen water into my routine so I won’t get too overwhelmed by the heat and humidity, and I can take things at my own pace 🌿
