🌈Episode 9 Hydrogen Q&A! Answering Your Burning Questions

Hi, I’m Hiro!

Thank you for all the comments and questions on my previous posts! Today, I’ll address some of the most common ones.

Q1 Can I make hydrogen water in advance?

  1. Unfortunately, hydrogen gradually escapes over time. If kept in a plastic bottle, it can disappear within a few hours.

It’s best to drink it freshly made. For portable use, choose a highly airtight bottle.

Q2 Is hydrogen water the same as alkaline ionized water?

  1. They are completely different! Alkaline ionized water is water with an alkaline pH level. Hydrogen water is water with dissolved hydrogen molecules ($H_2$).

While some products are “alkaline ionized water with hydrogen,” they are fundamentally different concepts.

Q3 Can I consume too much hydrogen?

  1. Generally, no harmful effects from hydrogen overdose have been reported. Excess hydrogen is naturally exhaled or released through the skin.

However, drinking too much hydrogen water might simply result in excessive water intake, so stick to a reasonable amount.

Q4 Is it safe during pregnancy or breastfeeding?

  1. While hydrogen itself is considered safe, I recommend consulting a doctor first if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

It’s a delicate time for your body, so it’s best to be cautious.

Q5 What if I don’t feel any effects?

  1. People experience the effects of hydrogen very differently. Those who are already very healthy might notice fewer changes.

Consistency is also key. Try it for at least a month; if you still feel nothing, it might be worth exploring other health methods.

Q6 What goes well with hydrogen?

  1. Hydrogen is an antioxidant, but it’s not a complete solution on its own. Combining it with other antioxidants like Vitamin C, Vitamin E, or polyphenols might be more effective.

However, be mindful of supplement interactions and consult a professional if taking multiple supplements.

Q7 Can I give it to pets?

  1. Some people do give hydrogen water to their dogs or cats. Many owners seem interested in it for maintaining the health of senior pets.

However, since it depends on the pet’s condition, please consult a veterinarian first.

If you have more questions, keep them coming in the comments! I want to keep learning about hydrogen right along with you.
