What I Couldn’t Fully Share in the Newspaper Column
In my previous posts, I shared my personal experiences with hydrogen inhalation.
For this entry, I’d like to shift the focus to another form of hydrogen wellness: the hydrogen bath.
My first encounter with hydrogen dates back about 10 years, when hydrogen baths suddenly became popular—partly because they were famously given as wedding favors at a celebrity wedding in Japan.
At that time, I was still young, and although I tried hydrogen baths, I didn’t really feel anything significant.
But as the years passed and my body began to show various signs of aging, I found myself rediscovering the true value of hydrogen baths.

Two Types of Hydrogen Baths
Hydrogen baths generally come in two types:
- Electrolysis-based devices
These generate hydrogen directly in the water using electrolysis technology.
- Can be used repeatedly
- Produce high-concentration hydrogen
- Popular among long-term hydrogen users
- Magnesium-based hydrogen bath powders
These use magnesium to create a hydrogen-rich reaction when placed in hot water.
- Easy to carry
- Ideal for travel
- Also creates a noticeable warmth-retaining effect
Many hydrogen lovers actually use both depending on the situation.
⚠️ Safety Notes:
- People with pacemakers should avoid electrolysis-based devices.
- Magnesium bath powders should be used according to instructions to avoid skin irritation.

What I Personally Felt from Hydrogen Baths
From my own experience, hydrogen baths are far more than a relaxation tool.
As soon as I soaked in the warm hydrogen-rich water, I noticed:
- My body warmed deeply, and the warmth lasted longer than usual
- Foot, hip, and lower-back discomfort felt lighter
- Dry skin and hair looked healthier
- My sleep became deeper and more restorative
Thermal imaging has shown that hydrogen baths help retain warmth longer than ordinary baths—something I experienced firsthand.
Some clients have also shared that hydrogen baths helped ease dryness, supported their skin condition, and improved nightly relaxation.

Why Hydrogen Works So Comfortably
Hydrogen is the smallest molecule in the universe.
Because of its size, it is believed to reach deeper layers of the skin compared to regular skincare ingredients.
Of course、effects vary from person to person, and hydrogen is not a medical treatment, but many people—including myself—have experienced meaningful improvements in comfort, skin condition, warmth retention, and sleep quality.

Summary
Hydrogen baths can enrich daily life in gentle and meaningful ways.
For those who are curious about incorporating hydrogen into their wellness routine, this is one of the most relaxing and enjoyable options.
I hope more people can experience the soft but powerful comfort that hydrogen brings to both body and mind.
