🌸 Episode 76: The Crisp October Air and the Steady Routine That Supports Me

Hello, this is Sonata 🌿✨

We have already entered October on the calendar, and before we knew it, there are less than three months left in the year.
During September, we had many rainy days and unsettled weather, but recently we have been blessed with more and more beautiful, clear autumn days ☀️
When I open the window in the morning, the cool air that flows in is so fresh. It feels so crisp that it makes me want to take a deep breath and think,
“Ah, real autumn is finally here.” How do you feel the arrival of autumn in the area where you live? Around me, the sweet scent of fragrant olive (kinmokusei) has started to drift on the breeze from out of nowhere,
gently letting me know that the season has taken another step forward 🍂

Autumn is a season with high, clear skies, making it a truly wonderful time to take walks or go a little further from home to enjoy nature.
The time spent pulling out slightly thicker cardigans or autumn-colored stoles from the closet is also somehow exciting and fun 👗

However, the tricky part unique to this time of year is that the temperature difference within a single day is very large. While the sun is out during the day, it is warm and comfortable,
but as soon as the sun sets in the evening, the wind suddenly turns cold, and you feel chilly without an extra layer to put on 🍂
Actually, I have heard that this “temperature gap” can unconsciously put more strain on our bodies than we realize. Even when I feel I have been energetically moving around all day,
I often find myself thinking at night, “I feel quite exhausted today,” or “My shoulders feel a bit tense.” That is exactly why, during this season when the outside environment changes so quickly,
I value my “steady routine” at home more than ever 🌿

When I wake up in the morning, the first thing I do is gently awaken my body from the inside with a glass of hydrogen water 💧
This is something I continue regardless of the season, but by slowly drinking room-temperature hydrogen water on a slightly chilly morning,
I feel as though my body, which had been resting, smoothly starts moving while saying, “Let’s have a good day today” 😊

And nighttime is an important reset time to warm up my chilled body. I draw a bath with slightly lukewarm water and take a slow soak in a hydrogen bath 🛁
My toes tend to get cold on autumn nights, so lightly massaging my toes in the water and feeling my body gradually warm up is a moment of pure bliss.
From the time I step out of the bath until I get into bed, it is time for my indispensable hydrogen inhalation 🌙
Accompanied by a warm cup of herbal tea, in a calm room lit only by indirect lighting, I slowly take deep breaths while opening a favorite book or simply closing my eyes and listening to quiet music.

Incorporating hydrogen does not magically make all fatigue vanish into thin air.
But I feel that having this time to care for myself in the same way every day creates mental space and slowly recharges my energy for tomorrow ✨
Even as the seasons change, I want to continue spending my time comfortably without losing my own pace.

Autumn will deepen even further from here, and we will gradually start to hear the footsteps of winter.
I hope you all take good care to manage the temperature differences between day and night, incorporate your favorite ways to relax, and enjoy wonderful autumn days 🍂 See you in the next blog post 🌿✨
