🌸 Episode 3: Buy? Rent? My Approach to Choosing Hydrogen Inhalation and My Experience

Hello, it’s me, Sonata🌿

As the year draws to a close,

I wanted to share about when I first became interested in hydrogen inhalation.

Should I buy one? Or try renting first?

I was really torn.

Both had pros and cons, and since I didn’t have the courage to buy one right away,

I chose renting for an easy trial.

In the end, this choice was perfect for me.

Why I Started with Renting

Even among hydrogen inhalation devices, sizes and prices vary widely.

The more robust models can be quite expensive.

Buying one outright felt like a bit of a hurdle.

That’s when I found a monthly rental plan.

In Japan lately, rentals and subscriptions for trying out health devices are on the rise, right?

For someone like me who wanted to first see if it fits into my life, it was the perfect way to start.

The benefits of choosing rental were:

Lower upfront costs

A chance to test if I could stick with it

Peace of mind with included maintenance and support

And above all, the reassurance of being able to try it out casually was huge.

Once I started using it, I found it comfortable to incorporate it into my routinewhile watching movies, reading, or before streaming games…

I didn’t need to carve out special time; I could just do it on the side 😊

Until I found the pace that suited me

I started with about 15 minutes and gradually increased the time.

After about a week, 30 minutes of inhalation felt natural,

and now I can comfortably use it for about an hour.

The beauty of renting is that you can easily adjust with a trial mindset.

Without the pressure of thinking, I bought it, so I have to use it…,

I was able to make it a habit at my own pace.

As I continued, my evening relaxation time became more peaceful,

and I started feeling lighter in my body when I woke up in the morning.

Of course, individual results vary, but for me, it was a gentle way to feel balanced.🌸

When to Consider Buying

After using it consistently for several months,

I started thinking, Maybe it’s time to get my own device.

The timing for considering purchase varies for everyone,

but here’s when I felt Buying might be an option 👇

I’ve established a daily habit

I want to share it with family

I’ve secured space for it at home

That said, I do like new things,

so I also appreciate being able to try the latest model through rental.

Try it first, buy it if you like it”—

that flexibility suited me perfectly.

Checklist for When You’re Undecided

When deciding between buying or renting, consider these three points 👇

1️ Frequency of use: How often do you plan to use it weekly? (Daily? Occasionally?)

2️ Location of use: Bedroom? Living room? While working?

3️ Cost perception: Compare the total cost of renting for six months with the purchase price

Organizing these three points will naturally reveal the answer.

In my case, I use it daily before bed, I use it stationary, and I want to keep initial costs low”—

Based on those three points, renting was the best choice.

What I Actually Experienced

As I continued, I increasingly felt like I could breathe deeply at night,

and my morning wake-up gradually felt more refreshed.

It feels less like a specific effect and more like my mind and body’s rhythm aligning.

For me, hydrogen inhalation isn’t for healing,

but rather a habit to create calming time.

It became a small act of self-care, a way to reset at the end of the day 🌿

🌏 For readers overseas

Japan offers rental services for hydrogen inhalation devices, but this rental system itself doesn’t exist overseasit’s unique to Japan.

The rental experience described in this blog is specific to Japan.

If you’re overseas and want to try hydrogen inhalation, you can either purchase a portable hydrogen inhaler or visit a salon or studio offering hydrogen therapy sessions.

(*In all cases, we recommend using it for relaxation and self-care, not as a medical treatment or therapy.)

Summary

Renting lets you start easily and find your own pace

Purchasing is recommended for those who use it daily or want to share with family

If unsure, check these 3 points: Frequency, Location, Cost

With hydrogen inhalation, enjoying the process matters more than just continuing

My conclusion: Start lightly, continue if it suits you.

In Japan, renting is an option, but overseas, purchasing is the only method available🌸
