🌸Episode 41: Turning a Rainy Day into a Little Hot Spring Break in My Own Bath ~The Start of the Rainy Season and How I Enjoy My Hydrogen Bath~

Hello, it’s Sonata here🌿

Now that it’s June, even here in Fukuoka, we’re starting to feel the approach of the rainy season☔

As rainy days become more frequent, there are times when both my body and mind just feel a little heavy, don’t they?

The sky is overcast.

Laundry takes forever to dry.

You need an umbrella just to go outside—it’s that time of year when everything feels a little bit of a hassle.

I love exploring hot springs, so normally I’d just pop over to one and enjoy a leisurely soak, but when it rains nonstop, that’s not really an option.

Especially during the rainy season, the ground gets slippery,

and I find myself thinking,

“I’d rather relax at home today than go out”

more and more often☔

That’s when I look forward to taking a hydrogen bath at home 🛁✨

Of course, it’s a little different from the special feeling of going to a hot spring resort.

But there’s a different kind of charm to taking time to soak in my own bathtub at home.

It’s raining outside.

I can hear the quiet sound of rain coming through the window.

I spend time doing nothing while soaking in the steamy bath.

Just that alone makes me feel like my mind is unwinding a little 🌿

For me, a hydrogen bath isn’t just for special occasions.

If anything, it’s a small habit woven into my daily life.

Whether I’m tired or not,

whether I’m feeling lighthearted or a little down,

it’s part of that natural flow of thinking,

“I’ll take a bath today, too.”

During the rainy season, since I have fewer plans to go out, I spend more time at home.

Instead of letting that time be boring, I try to turn it into a little time to pamper myself.

When I think of it that way, I realize that a bath on a rainy day isn’t so bad after all 😊

When I take a hydrogen bath, I don’t think about anything too complicated.

I just soak slowly in the warm water and calm my breathing.

I put my phone aside for a bit and make it a time when I’m not chasing after anything.

Usually, my mind tends to be filled with work, schedules, and messages.

But in the bath, I set all that aside for a moment and use the time to reconnect with how I’m feeling right now 🛁

There’s something special about exploring hot springs.

Visiting an unfamiliar place, soaking in the local waters, and spending time gazing at the scenery—

it really is a special experience♨️

But when it’s hard to go outside, like during the rainy season, I don’t think you have to force yourself to go out.

Instead, turn your home bath into a slightly special time.

That alone can change your everyday mood.

Prepare your favorite towel,

drink hydrogen-rich water after your bath,

or dim the lights a bit and spend some quiet time.

I feel like those little touches help soften the mood on rainy days. 🌙

For me, a hydrogen bath is part of my daily routine.

I might skip the bath and just take a shower once in a while, but I never miss my hydrogen inhalation or drinking hydrogen water.

That’s why, even during the rainy season, I don’t make a big deal out of it.

I just go about my day with the mindset of,

“Today, instead of going to a hot spring, I’ll enjoy my bath at home.”

On rainy days, things don’t always go as planned.

Sometimes going out feels like a hassle, or changes in atmospheric pressure leave me feeling sluggish and unrefreshed.

On days like that, rather than forcing myself to push through,

it might be important to slow down a little and go at my own pace.🌿

While soaking in my hydrogen bath,

I take a moment to think,

“This is enough for today.”

For me, that’s a small act of self-care to get me through the rainy season.

June is the rainy season.

Even if the sky outside is cloudy, there are still pleasures to be found indoors.

Even if I have to take a break from my beloved hot spring excursions,

I can turn my home bath into a little hot spring retreat instead.

When I think of it that way, the sound of the rainy season’s rain seems to sound just a little gentler ☔🛁

As we head into a season with more and more rainy days,

Please try not to force yourself to go out, but instead cherish the time spent relaxing at home.

This rainy season, I also plan to enjoy the quiet moments unique to rainy days while soaking in a hydrogen bath 🌿
