🌸Episode 32: What I Do to Stay on My Own Pace Even During the Long Holiday ~Time for Self-Care Amidst the Busy Season~

Hello, it’s Sonata here🌿

It’s Golden Week now—how are you all spending your time?

Some of you might be getting out more, while others might be enjoying a slower pace than usual😊

While this time of year brings the unique joy of a holiday, it often disrupts our usual routines a bit, doesn’t it?

There are more people out and about, plans to go out, and our daily rhythms shift slightly.

I feel that even though we’re surrounded by a lively and fun atmosphere, this is also a time when fatigue can build up without us even realizing it🌿

During long holidays like this, I make a conscious effort not to force myself to stick too rigidly to a schedule and to keep my own pace as much as possible.

If I get too carried away thinking, “It’s a rare chance to take a break,” I sometimes end up feeling completely drained after what should have been a fun time.

Of course, I really love going out, and seeing different scenery is a great way to refresh my mood ✨

But at the same time, “making sure to set aside time to truly unwind after I get home” has become just as important to me.

On days when I’ve been out for a long time or have been meeting people one after another, I sometimes don’t realize until I get home that “I might have been a little tired.”

At times like that, rather than jumping right into the next thing, I try to take a moment to catch my breath and give myself time to quietly settle back into myself🍀

For me, one of those moments of transition is the time I spend inhaling hydrogen.

After being in the midst of a bustling crowd, having that time to sit quietly in my room makes me feel like my senses are gradually coming back.

It’s less about making a big change and more like gently guiding my frantic mind back to its usual place.

Especially during long holidays, I think that transition is important to me precisely because I have both the excitement of being out and the tranquility of home. 🌸

When it comes to Golden Week, it’s easy to feel like you “have to make the most of it,” isn’t it?

But lately, I’ve come to feel that feeling comfortable and at ease is more important than having a packed schedule.

For example, going to bed a little earlier, taking my time to enjoy a cup of tea after coming home, or  setting aside some quiet time at the end of the day.

I feel like even small things like these can make a big difference in how I spend my long weekend ☕🌿

It’s okay to have days where I go out to lively places, and it’s okay to have days where I spend time quietly at home.

Rather than saying one way is “right,” perhaps the most natural approach is simply to spend each day in a way that suits how I feel that day.

Personally, I find that keeping a few of my usual routines during long weekends helps me stay grounded. Instead of making every day special, I try to maintain a little bit of my normal rhythm.

Just doing that makes me feel at ease, even amidst the hustle and bustle of the season ✨

I think Golden Week, while fun, is also a time when we tend to push ourselves a little too hard without even realizing it. That’s exactly why I believe it’s just as important to take time to recharge as it is to go out and enjoy myself.

Whether it’s a day when I’ve been on the go a lot or a day when I’m feeling a little tired, I feel like just having a moment at the end to calm myself down can gently change how I perceive the day.

I hope I can spend this holiday comfortably, finding my own quiet moments amidst all the hustle and bustle. 🌿
