There are so many types of hydrogen products out there, it’s easy to get confused about which one to choose. I made mistakes at first too… I bought a product lured by its low price, only to find it barely produced any hydrogen.
After learning from those mistakes, I’m sharing the key points for choosing hydrogen products!
- Check the Hydrogen Concentration/Output Indication
For hydrogen water, look for “Hydrogen Concentration: X ppm.” For hydrogen inhalers, check for “Hydrogen Output: X ml/min.” Be wary of products that don’t clearly state these values.
Generally, effective levels are considered to be 150cc/min or more at a 2% concentration. However, higher isn’t always better—make sure it’s within an appropriate range.
- Verify third-party testing
Reliable products publish hydrogen concentration test results from independent third-party agencies. It’s reassuring when verification comes from external bodies, not just the manufacturer’s own testing.
Check if test results are posted on the official website.
- Consult user reviews and testimonials
Feedback from actual users is invaluable. However, be wary of products with only extremely positive reviews—they might be fake.
Look at both positive and negative reviews, focusing on those that describe specific user experiences. I gather information from social media and blogs.
- Quality of After-Sales Support
Devices like hydrogen generators require regular maintenance. Key post-purchase support factors include warranty duration, repair availability, and ease of obtaining replacement parts.
Even if a product is cheap, it’s safer to avoid those with no support whatsoever.
- Is the Price Sustainable?
No matter how good a product is, it’s meaningless if it’s too expensive to maintain long-term. Consider not just the initial cost, but also the ongoing expenses (like consumables and electricity) to ensure it fits within your budget.
In my case, I started with bath additives first, experiencing the effects before purchasing. Taking a step-by-step approach is also recommended.
Choosing hydrogen products requires thorough research. Don’t rush; take your time comparing and considering options before buying.
