🌸Episode 11: Using Hydrogen Safely and Cleanly ― My Maintenance and Lifestyle Tips ―

Hello, it’s Sonata.🌿

So far, I’ve talked about hydrogen as a “way to keep going” and a “relaxing time,” but today, I’d like to write about the cleanliness and usage tips I actually pay attention to.

No matter how pleasant it feels to use, if you neglect maintenance or where you store it, it can start to feel unsettling. I myself have gradually found a way that feels manageable, learning from my mistakes along the way.

🧼 Things I consciously do to keep it clean

In the beginning, I’d sometimes leave it out after use, only to later find dust had gathered, or discover moisture lingering inside the tube.

Now, I just make sure to check the cannula and tube after every use.  If I visually spot water pooled inside the tube, it’s time to replace it.

Also, if I used it while sick, I replace it with a new one once I’m better.

(It feels like a mental reset too, which is reassuring 🌿)

  • Tank & water supply care

Handling varies by model.

Some require replacing all the purified water weekly,

while others let you just top it up.

I check the manual and manage mine according to its specific instructions.

  • Simple External Cleaning

Dust tends to accumulate around the intake port and buttons,

so I just give them a quick wipe with a soft cloth.

It’s just a small step, but it makes a huge difference in peace of mind.

Image Content Guidelines:

  • Close-up of hands gently wiping the device’s exterior with a soft cloth
  • No faces visible / Focus on the task
  • Clean, calm, and lived-in feel

🐾 Pet-friendly homes: A little extra awareness for hair

We don’t have pets at home,

but in homes with pets, hair and dust tend to circulate more easily.

That said, I don’t think you need to do anything special.

The only things I’m mindful of apply even without pets:

  • Don’t place it directly on the floor
  • Quickly check the cannula or tube visually before use
  • Don’t place it where pets can reach it

“Wipe it when you notice it”

“Replace it if you feel slightly concerned”

I feel that level of awareness is sufficient.

Image Content Guidelines:

  • Household appliances placed on shelves or side tables, not on the floor
  • Pets in the shot are OK / Not in the shot is also OK
  • Composition that conveys “placement avoiding the floor”

🌿 Placement and usage tips

For inhalers,

the basic rule is to place them where they won’t tip over, have good airflow, and aren’t exposed to high heat, humidity, or direct sunlight.

I usually keep mine

on the bedside table next to my bed, at a height that lets me inhale while lying down.

However, I don’t limit its use to just one spot.

When working on my PC,

I sometimes move it to the table next to my desk to use while working.

By not rigidly fixing it to “this spot”

and keeping it in a place I can easily move to wherever I spend time,

hydrogen inhalation has become more integrated into my daily life and easier to maintain.

I also pay attention to the cord placement,

making sure it’s arranged so I won’t trip over it or snag it.

Image Content Guidelines:

  • A calm workspace around a PC desk
  • An environment with a side table and organized wiring
  • A photo conveying “well-organized living flow”

💡 Something I Noticed During Maintenance

There was a time when I was so busy that I kept putting off maintenance.

The next day, I visually confirmed water had pooled in part of the tube.

That moment made me realize:

“Hygiene matters most in the unseen areas.”

Since then, I’ve made these three my personal rules:

  • Quickly check the main unit after use
  • Check for moisture inside the tube
  • Replace it if I notice even the slightest issue

🕒 Weekly Maintenance Rhythm

Trying to do everything perfectly every day inevitably leads to burnout.

I found peace of mind by creating a weekly “comprehensive maintenance day.”

On that day, I simply:

  • Visually inspect the cannula and tubing
  • Perform a quick wipe-down of the tank and exterior
  • Check the power cable and connection points

That’s all.

Since establishing this rhythm, the time I can use it with peace of mind has become even more enjoyable🌸

☁️ Summary

  • Replace cannula if water accumulates; use a new one after a cold
  • Check tank handling per model (replace purified water or top up purified water)
  • Households with pets should be mindful of hair or dust contamination
  • Maintaining cleanliness and safety leads to true relaxation

Hydrogen inhalation is my “time to center myself.”

That’s why I feel that taking good care of the equipment

is also a way of taking good care of myself 🌿
