Q&A

Massage

Does the session content vary depending on the therapist's rank?
Yes, therapists are ranked based on their years of experience and techniques. We create a treatment plan after discussing your condition and preferences.
  • Senior Therapist / Shizuka “Shico” Moriwaki’s 100-minute standard course combines oil massage with techniques such as shiatsu, trigger point therapy, foot pressure, and stretching.
  • Junior Therapists focus exclusively on oil-based approaches.
  • We also offer a Takeover Course, where the first half is performed by a junior therapist and the second half by a senior therapist or Shizuka “Shico” Moriwaki.
Which is more effective: a 50-minute four-hands session or a 100-minute session?
For those who have time or wish to deeply relax, we recommend sessions lasting 100 minutes or more. A 50-minute four-hands session is ideal for those looking for a quick yet comprehensive whole-body care.
Can I request an experienced therapist for an oil-only massage?
Yes, of course. Experienced therapists can accommodate a wide range of needs.
If I only have 50 minutes, what type of session is available?
For 50-minute sessions, we recommend the following options:
1. Reflexology (foot massage)
2. Oil massage for areas other than the feet
3. Upper body massage, including the abdomen
4. A quick full-body oil massage (excluding feet)
5. Reflexology and scalp massage
*You can also add aromatherapy, CBD, or hydrogen inhalation to any session.
Why is the 100-minute course the standard?
At easeNY, we approach the body holistically. By addressing the entire body, we can target not only discomfort but also related reflex zones, muscles, fascia, and pressure points, helping alleviate fatigue at a deeper level. Our techniques combine oil and non-oil methods to care for everything from the scalp to the soles of the feet, delivering enhanced results. We are open 7 days a week and encourage you to try treatments lasting 100 minutes or more.
I feel very tired after a massage. Does it mean the massage doesn't suit me?
Post-massage reactions vary by individual. You may experience fatigue from the areas being worked on, and it can take up to 48 hours to adjust. We recommend hydrating well and getting extra sleep after your session. Avoid strenuous exercise, caffeine, alcohol, and hot baths. Post-massage soreness often depends on your pre-treatment condition, particularly if it’s been a while since your last massage. Starting with circulation-boosting treatments can help.
How often should I get a massage?
For first-time clients or those who haven’t had a massage in a while, we recommend a follow-up session within 1–2 weeks to help your body adjust and maximize the benefits. Regular sessions, such as weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly, can help maintain your overall well-being. Depending on your lifestyle, work, and activity level, we can recommend a schedule tailored to your needs. Women may also find it beneficial to align their sessions with their menstrual cycles. Your therapist will provide personalized advice based on your condition and preferences.
Do I need to undress completely for an oil massage?
While many clients in Western countries undress fully, it’s also acceptable to keep your underwear on. We also provide disposable undergarments. During the massage, your body will be covered with a sheet, exposing only the areas being treated. For gluteal massage, we recommend either wearing no underwear or using the disposable option.
Do I need to bring a change of clothes for my massage?
No, it’s not necessary. We use large sheets to fully cover your body, allowing you to relax and enjoy the session comfortably.

Facials

How is easeNY’s facial therapy different from regular facial massages?
ease Unlike standard facials that focus on cleansing and moisturizing, our facial therapy includes care for the neck, facial muscles, and chewing muscles. We may also address the scalp and ears to enhance circulation. This approach helps release muscle tension, balance facial muscles, and improve skin clarity, restoring your natural beauty from within.
Can I combine facial therapy with other treatments?
Yes, you can. Popular combinations include:
1. Facial mist treatment
2. Reflexology (foot massage) performed simultaneously by a second therapist.

Reflexology

Is ease reflexology painful?
The intensity can be adjusted to your preference. ease reflexology uses cream to stimulate reflex zones on the soles of the feet, promoting circulation and helping the body eliminate waste. It is believed to support organ and brain function and boost immunity. Reflexology is included in our 100-minute ease Therapy® standard course, but we also offer 25-minute, and 50-minute sessions focused solely on the feet.

Hydrogen Inhalation/Mist Therapy Q&A

Is hydrogen gas safe?
Yes, hydrogen gas is safe with no known side effects. It has been recognized as a "food additive" by Japan’s Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare, ensuring its safety for children and the elderly alike.
What are the benefits of hydrogen inhalation?
Hydrogen inhalation offers antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and anti-allergy benefits, supported by numerous research studies. Clients have reported feeling “refreshed,” experiencing “less severe headaches,” “better sleep quality,” and “improved physical recovery.” Hydrogen is one of the few antioxidant substances capable of crossing the blood-brain barrier, allowing its benefits to reach the entire body.
What is the difference between drinking hydrogen water and inhaling hydrogen gas?
Inhalation allows hydrogen to enter the bloodstream directly through the lungs and mucous membranes, reaching the brain and other organs more efficiently. Drinking hydrogen water, on the other hand, introduces hydrogen via the digestive system, where it is absorbed through the stomach and intestines and processed by the liver.
What treatments can be combined with hydrogen inhalation or mist therapy?
Hydrogen inhalation can be performed alongside massages, reflexology, and Herb Sella therapy, as the cannula used for inhalation does not interfere with these treatments. Hydrogen mist therapy can also be combined with reflexology or facial treatments for enhanced results.
Can I book hydrogen inhalation or mist therapy as a standalone session?
Absolutely. Both hydrogen inhalation (using nasal, eye, and oral cannulas) and hydrogen mist therapy are available as individual treatments. Examples include:
  • Inhaling hydrogen while simultaneously applying mist to the skin.
  • Inhaling hydrogen while using goggles to deliver hydrogen to the eyes. Special discounted multi-session packages are also available. Please refer to the pricing guide for details.
Is hydrogen therapy safe for pets?
Yes, hydrogen therapy can benefit pets, such as dogs and cats, through hydrogen inhalation, hydrogen baths, or hydrogen water. However, due to potential allergies among other clients, we only offer this service for pet owners to try on themselves before purchasing devices for home use.
What are the reported effects of hydrogen?
Hydrogen therapy is associated with the following benefits:
  • Reducing oxidative stress by neutralizing reactive oxygen species
  • Promoting anti-inflammatory and circulatory health
  • Supporting autonomic nervous system balance by enhancing parasympathetic activity
  • Boosting immunity and providing anti-allergy effects
  • Enhancing energy metabolism by assisting mitochondrial ATP production
  • Promoting anti-aging and recovery from fatigue
Have any diseases shown improvement through hydrogen therapy?
Research has suggested that hydrogen therapy may assist in managing or improving symptoms associated with:
  • Neurological conditions (e.g., Parkinson's disease, Alzheimer's disease)
  • Inflammatory diseases (e.g., asthma, atopic dermatitis, inflammatory bowel disease)
  • Autoimmune diseases (e.g., rheumatoid arthritis, lupus)
  • Cardiovascular and metabolic conditions (e.g., hypertension, diabetes, arteriosclerosis, obesity)
  • Post-resuscitation care for cardiac arrest and ischemia-reperfusion injury
For additional information on the benefits and applications of hydrogen therapy, please visit our dedicated hydrogen therapy page.
I want to use hydrogen products at home. What options do you offer?
We offer a variety of hydrogen products, including hydrogen inhalers, hydrogen baths, hydrogen water generators, hydrogen supplements, hydrogen bags, and hydrogen bath additives. You can choose the product that best suits your needs.
All of our products are thoroughly inspected before shipment. We use a hydrogen measurement device to verify hydrogen output and ensure quality. Additionally, when products are used in accordance with the instructions, we provide a 1-year warranty, giving you peace of mind with your purchase.

Blood Flow Scope

What is the Blood Flow Scope (Capillaroscopy)?
The Blood Flow Scope is a Japanese-made microscope designed to observe blood flow in capillaries. Widely used in the medical, wellness, and beauty industries, it features up to 510x magnification. Using this device, you can compare your blood flow before and during hydrogen inhalation by observing real-time changes on a monitor.
How should I book the Blood Flow Scope session for the best results?
We recommend booking the Blood Flow Scope together with a hydrogen inhalation session. The Blood Flow Scope includes approximately 10 minutes of hydrogen inhalation. For even greater benefits, you can extend your session with an additional 25 or 50 minutes of hydrogen inhalation.
